How I work

Research

It starts with the data, not the deck — who customers actually are, what they do, and where the business's assumptions about them are wrong. Audiences built from behaviour, not a persona slide.

Goal setting

All roads lead to Rome — if you know which road leads there. A goal without a number attached is a wish, not a target. I build programmes around goals tied to real value, not sends and clicks.

Planning

A plan that never gets reviewed isn't a plan, it's a guess with extra steps. Mine track progress against the goal, get checked on a schedule, and change when reality doesn't match the forecast. That's the difference between a roadmap and a wish list.

Execution

I build with AI now — code, automation, first drafts — because it's faster, not because it thinks for me. The ideas and the judgement on what ships are mine. Every programme still gets documented and built to a standard, so it runs cleanly long after I've handed it over — not held together by knowledge only I have.

Measurement

Even the best plan hits bumps. Reporting results against target on a fixed schedule means you see the bump coming, not after you've already hit it — early enough to change course instead of just explaining what went wrong.

Results

Experience is the shortcut. Different customers, different product, different offer — the path that gets there follows the same pattern every time. The same steps, run for twenty years, because they work.
